Better Men. Better Lives.
Forty years on, we're tracking down the brothers of Delta Sigs — recording their stories and bringing everyone back to the same fire. Pull up a chair and catch up.
We're recording every brother's story and gathering them in one place, so we can all see what's happened in each other's lives since NIU — and truly reconnect. One conversation at a time, the whole chapter comes back together.
Come reconnect in person — and bring a brother.
Featuring brothers Jim Klimas, Joe Nelson & Matt Denten — come catch the band and join the crew.
The Huskies' first-ever home Mountain West game. Let's get a Delta Sigs crew together for the weekend.

We began where the chapter did — with the man who, by his own telling, "gave the wild horses a direction."
Wrestling, mountains, the price of everything — and the night Delta Sigs was born. Recorded fireside, Aug 29, 2025 · 58 min.
"Delta Sigs was a moment in time, where lightning struck. Those characters made it what it was — had they not come together, it wouldn't have gone where it went."
One brother at a time, we're capturing the stories. We're kicking things off with the earliest pledge classes just to get the ball rolling — but every pledge class is welcome, and we want all of you. New interviews drop regularly; become a member and we'll tell you when.
"Lightning Struck" — the founding of Delta Sigs, and a life spent doing the things that are worth the price.
The next brother in the chair. We're sitting down with Tom soon — his story drops here for members first.
Arnie, Walt, Matt, Julio, John, Tony and the rest of the characters who made it what it was. The list is growing.
Every era of Delta Sigs belongs here — '85 to the newest classes. We're simply starting with the first brothers to get momentum, and we'll work our way through all of them. No matter your pledge class, you have a seat at this fire — add your story.
Every brother has a story worth keeping. Here's the arc we follow — from the young man you were to the wisdom you've earned.
That final question — your advice to your younger self — is the heart of a book Gary Ricke is writing, dedicated to young men just getting started in their careers and families.
Full interviews are for brothers. We post a short public teaser of each one so it's easy to catch new episodes — we're building a private podcast of these conversations.
In person we keep it dynamic — wireless mics and a phone, recorded while we do something: a workout, a horseback ride, a campfire. No sitting in front of microphones. Anywhere, doing anything. Prefer remote? We do online interviews too.
Can't wait for us? Grab your phone, interview a brother following the same arc, and send it in — we'll edit it and build the page. Submit an interview →
Tell us how to reach you and how you'd like to do it — we'll set it up.

Delta Sigs started at NIU in 1985 — a few guys who decided that if the fraternities on campus weren't worth the price, they'd build their own. They did, and it shaped the friendships of everyone it touched.
Four decades later, we're scattered across the country and out of touch. This project is simple: sit down with the brothers, record their stories, and use them to find our way back to the same table. Listen, reconnect, and add your own.
